As previously said in our earlier article on writing prompts, writing might be tedious and monotonous if you don't know what to write about. As a writer, this piece will come in handy again. Without further ado, let's go right into today's writing prompts, listing them first and then briefly discussing them later.
  • Fire
  • Smile
  • Stare
  • Fall
  • Victory/Triumph
  • Waiting
  • Fine/Perfect
  • Pillar
  • Freedom
  • Best Regards

10. Fire

You can use that as a starting point for your poems. You may write something metaphorical by equating someone's anger to fire. Although most people identify fire with negative things, you might opt to look at it positively by writing about all the good things that come up with fire. You can also simply write about how you are perplexed by fire or how much you understand fire.

9. Smile

Yes, that could be a good prompt for your poems. In most situations, we are told to smile even when we are feeling down. You might incorporate motivational phrases into your poem by encouraging someone else who may be feeling down. You can write on how seeing someone's grin makes you feel better. You can also use it symbolically by comparing another person's grin to the healing Harmattan wind.

8. Stare

You could write something about how other people stare at you. You can express how upset you are by people staring at you everywhere you go. You might also write about how their gaze through your eyes pierced your heart with cupid's arrows and left your mind paralyzed with love numbness.

7. Fall

You may discuss how gravity continues to pull us back down to the earth in a piece of writing. You might compare gravity to those people who don't want you to advance as a metaphor. You might also write on how things in life progress to a certain degree before falling apart.

6. Victory/Triumph

Yes, that should be another source of inspiration for your poetry. You can write about how victorious you were or how you hope to be one day. You might also write something historical about how someone or persons came to victory. You can also just convey how you believe others feel when they win, or how you see winning.

5. Waiting

This is another great source of poetry inspiration for you as a writer. You'll agree with me that most of us aren't patient enough to wait for anything excellent. You can write about how you feel when someone makes you wait, or about what you would do in anticipation of something wonderful in your life— your wedding day? or your first day on stage?

4. Fine/Perfect

We've all probably said these words a few times, perhaps as a compliment. You can write about something that you believe best describes these words, or how you believe something can become fine/perfect. You might also write about what you consider to be perfect— is perfection real or just an illusion?

3. Pillar

You may also write anything about a pillar. You may have heard the term used metaphorically to indicate to someone who provides support, but it can also be applied in other contexts— do you admire the work that a pillar does? or you sympathize with it for carrying such a heavy load, that is a good poetry idea there.

2. Freedom

Write about freedom in your poem. You can decide to write on the value of freedom to each and every person, or about what freedom means to you personally. You might also write about someone who gains freedom or someone who wishes they had it.

1. Best Regards

The final but not least poetry prompt could be your finest wishes for someone. You can create a poem wishing someone a happy birthday or whatever you want to wish them.

Conclusion

That's all we have to say on today's writing prompts. We hope this information was beneficial to you. Please leave a comment if you did. We genuinely hope you learnt something new that will aid you in your writing career. See you in the future post. Thank you very much!!
