Anew

Startled by your glimpse, I gasped.
Out of the blue, you paid me a visit,
Your face still young and immaculate.

You held no grudge your eyes testified.
Your sole wish was just reconciliation;
You freed my heart from anticipation.

You gave me your hand, and we greeted
Each other like we used to do before.
You left me yearning for more.

From miles away, you seemed you heard
Of my cry and longing for you.
I just wished we could start anew.
