Triumphant Salute

Kasha's Pen Poem: a picture of soldiers standing in a line, with the soldier in front saluting

When the mind forsakes the
Delightful fruits and
Wonders of what's buried
Underneath, rivers
Flood my cheeks.

When the tiny little stings
Of conscience tingles
In the heart, and frees the
Mind from shackles
and chains of numbness.

When my eyes shed coats of
Taking things for granted;
When webs of ungratefulness
Fade away, I realise of
how a hero you are.

Dedicated to Dad; Charles Kashamba( May his soul rest in eternal peace)
